The Education Act 1996 allows the school to make a charge for these visits as it is outside the conditions put in place by this Act.
Ø It is not an activity required to fulfil any Public Examination requirement.
Ø It is not an activity required to fulfil the National Curriculum.
Ø It is not an activity required to fulfil Religious Education.
As the school does not have funds to cover the cost of travel/admission charges, we must ask parents/carers to make a payment to cover the costs involved. At the time of securing a place on the activity, you will be required to make a non-refundable deposit, the amount of which will be dependent upon the actual cost of the trip. Further staged payments to cover the cost of the more expensive trips will then be organised so that the costs are spread out as much as possible.
Please Note: All payments must be paid using our Parent Pay system. No cash payments can be accepted. If you do not have internet access, please contact the school Finance Office.
In the event of a withdrawal from a trip all payments made are completely non-refundable in their entirety, under any circumstance. Most trips are based on minimum attendance levels, and payment to the provider will have been made.
We are a fully inclusive school and want all our students to have as many positive experiences and outcomes as possible during this week. If any financial problems do exist or if your circumstances change please contact the finance team who will be glad to help and support you. Telephone 01752 843715 and ask for the Finance Office.
